Who should attend:
This course is intended for Ruckus employee and partner Systems Engineers (SEs) who will be deploying SmartZone 7.1 and Virtual SmartZone (vSZ) network controllers, ICX switches and RUCKUS access points.
Purpose of the Course
The purpose of this course is to provide preliminary training on installation and management of SmartZone Software 7.1 for both SmartZone and vSZ.
Course Objectives
- Overview of RUCKUS SmartZone hardware and software
- Install and upgrade the SmartZone controller
- Explain the architecture of the SmartZone controller
- Configure Domains and Zones
- Create and assign Administrator account and passwords
- Successfully register RUCKUS Access Points to the controller
- Create basic WLANs
- Create WLAN groups, schedules and VLAN pools
- Create Bonjour Gateway and Firewall policies
- Manage clustering and fault tolerance
